Hey my Lovelies,
Welcome to yet another perfume blog!
We’ve all had those moments where you spray your favorite fragrance in the morning, only to find out it completely vanished by lunchtime.
While it’s easier to blame the bottle, how and where you apply your fragrance is the top secret to longevity. Your bottle might need a little tlc to stay. Let’s look into the most effective ways to lock your scent from morning to night or for longer hours.

1. Timing is Everything.
The best time to spray perfume is just after you are out of the shower and dry off. Warm water opens out your pores making it better for your skin ti absorb the scent.
2. Hydrate First.
Perfumes evaporate quickly on dry skin. Oils and moisture are a magnet and they give fragrance molecules something to anchor to. So do not skip on the moisturiser.
Another trick is to dab vaseline on your pulse points before spraying as it creates a barrier that holds the scent in place for hours.
3. Hit the Right Pulse Points.
Pulse points are areas where blood vessels sit closest to the skin’s surface making them warmer than the rest of the body. These warm zones help to project and amplify scent.
- Wrist and Inner Elbows: A classic spot for everyday projection.
- Base of the Neck and Behind the ears: Boosts projectionΒ and is great for leaving a scent trail as you move.
- Behind the Knees and Ankles: Spraying lower body pulse points is ideal as rising body heat carries the scent upwards.

4. Stop Rubbing Your Wrists Together.
Rubbing your wrists together actually destroys fragrance. Friction creates heat that breaks down the top notes . Instead, just spray and let it air dry and settle on your skin naturally.
5. Spray Your Clothes and Hair (Safely)
Fabric fibers hold onto scent for days unlike your skin, as the chemistry changes through out the day. Lightly mist your clothes but first, test light colored fabrics to avoid ol stains
Hair holds fragrance exceptionally well and for long. However, avoid spraying directly onto your hair. Alternatively, you can mist the air. Spray the fragrance into the air and walk through to distribute evenly.
